Anna and Matt's Willowdale Estate Wedding

Anna and Matt tied the knot on July 18, 2025, at the gorgeous Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts. As a Boston wedding photographer, I love this venue — it’s one of the most stunning North Shore Massachusetts wedding venues, with garden-formal vibes, beautiful light, and endless places for portraits. On this day, the weather was perfect (thankfully not too hot, thank you, universe).

A fun full-circle note: I photographed Anna’s brother Nick’s wedding a while back, so it felt like coming home to be with this family again.

Their Story, Short and Sweet

Anna and Matt met on Tinder, and their first date almost didn’t happen. They ended up at the same restaurant but missed each other completely — Anna thought Matt had stood her up, and Matt (who had his phone off to “stay in the moment”) didn’t realize the mix-up until she stormed out. Thankfully, they gave it another shot, shared dinner, and the rest is history. That meet-cute energy carried right into their Willowdale Estate wedding day.

Wedding Day Notes

Anna and Matt kept things personal and modern. They skipped a first look with each other and chose not to do a bouquet toss — opting instead for a celebration that felt authentic to them. One of the most touching moments came from Anna’s first look with her dad, which was definitely an emotional moment for everyone.

The reception was a true party. Their first dance was to Finally // Beautiful Stranger by Halsey, and from that moment on, the dance floor was never empty. Guests celebrated under the twinkling lights of Willowdale Estate’s beautiful garden setting, making it the perfect backdrop for a summer garden wedding in Massachusetts.
