My husband and I had met with a few photographers in central MA and weren't impressed with their traditional feel and overly-posed photos. A friend suggested Kristin and sent us to her website; we were totally stunned. Then we met her and we were kind of in love. Her style was exactly what we were looking for - unique and fresh. She walked us through everything. We had an engagement session so we would be comfortable with her style and it was such a relief, we are both pretty shy and Kristin's personality had us laughing and relaxed within minutes. She turned around the proofs in record time, too! Before the wedding, she made herself available by email, skype and phone whenever we needed her. She didn't hassle us with worksheets and schedules, we just exchanged emails about what we wanted and important family/group photos we needed. Hiring Kristin really MADE my wedding. Her photos are just breathtaking! All of my friends and family are in awe of her work. She was so professional, managing to get the best shots with barely any staging. While getting ready, it was like having another close friend there helping me prepare for the ceremony. She was sensitive to some accessibility issues we were dealing with and made everyone so at ease. I felt like I didn't have to worry at all. Our wedding was at an historical venue and Kristin was able to give a creative spark to give our traditional wedding an edge. It rocked. If you are considering hiring Kristin (which you should be!) get the GOOF BOOTH!!! It was the biggest hit at my wedding and the pictures are hysterical. Everyone found their way into the goof booth at one point or another. My husband's 90 year-old grandfather and all of our college friends donned Paulie D wigs and playboy bunny ears to pose for photos that are now plastered all over facebook (with photographer's permission). We are going to have to order a separate album just for the Goof booth and we couldn't be happier. I met her while I was looking at my hotel venue and she was shooting a birthday party. We started talking and I was immediately drawn to her energy. She met with us and listened and knew who were were in a matter of minutes, She just got it! We shot our engagement photos first which I initially didn't want, but she convinced me to try and just trust her. Best thing I ever did. She shot photos that were so gorgeous I get constant compliments about it. She even emotionally supported me through the wedding planning process. There are no actual words to describe how amazing she is. To say she went above and beyond would be an under statement. I'd like to think we became friends through this process. She was my advocate when dealing with the venue and didn't make me lift a finger. She is the most down to earth person and makes shooting easily. I am shy around cameras and she makes me comfortable. She makes me look great in photos to boot! She came up with creative ideas to add to my wedding and even made me the wedding sign in book for the reception which was yet another thing I didn't have to worry about. She is talented, beautiful, sweet and truly easy to be around. She shot the photos we wanted, not traditional but had the traditional aspect that you also need to have. She understands people very intuitively. She worked with our budget and is of course trying to make a living but it has never felt like she's in in for the money. If you ever need a photographer you should call her, you will never regret it. Shots were taken around the home, trying on shoes and at the local park, capturing the day forever. She managed to capture everyone and everything, which is no small job with twenty kids running around. We had family and friends, pizza and cake and all of it was documented beautifully.
