Liberated and Intense Images for Liberated, Intense People

My attempt at food photography-many thanks to Ana Sortun

I'm finally considering making the jump to food photography.  Like I don't have enough shit on my plate.  But I'm addicted to Food and Wine and Sauveur.  I love the intimate relationship these publications have with both travel and food.  So when our friend James Beard award winning chef, Ana Sortun, opened her second spot, I offered to give it a try.  She is the owner of a very successful restaurant in Cambridge called Oleana.  After countless awards, Ana and her beloved pastry chef, Maura, have opened Sofra Bakery and Cafe.

Her food is mind boggling.  Being the wife of a chef, I have dined at many wonderful places, but Ana's food is possibly the most adventurous food I have ever had.  Every time I leave her place, I can't see straight it's so damn good.  Her cafe is spectacular.  The images speak for themselves.  I'm hoping to be able to book more work like this.  I'm not giving up on the kids, I'll always shoot them, but it's nice to mix it up.
